Workshop Urban Waters

We are glad to announce our Workshop on Urban Waters on November 27th in Berlin-Mitte. On this occasion Tobias Schäfer, the coordinator of the urban waters research network at the IGB and successor to Jörg Freyhof, will also present himself in this role.

The aim of the workshop is to exchange information on ongoing activities of the partners and to discuss the alignment of the research network in the next years. Find our agenda attached.

As an introduction to the topic three lectures will be given:

We are pleased that Dr. Fritz-Taute from the Senate Administration for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection has a lecture on the work on Berlin's "Master Plan Water".

In addition Florian Mayer from the Federal Office for Nature Conservation contributes with a talk about "The role of urban waters in the master plan urban nature of the Federal Government".

Walter Binder, former Head of Water Development at the Bavarian State Office for Environment and member of the board of the Living Rivers Foundation, will also take a look at the restoration of the Isar in Munich with the question "Is the Isar fit for the 21st century?".

We will be happy to receive your registration for the workshop by e-mail to bergner [at] igb-berlin.de until November 15th 2019. The number of participants is limited.

We are looking forward to see you there!
